A 30-year-old man has been injured after being shot at his house in the Koggalla area in Ambalantota early this morning.
According to the Police, two gunmen on a motorcycle had carried out the shooting and fled the area.
The injured victim has been admitted to the Hambantota Hospital.Â
Preliminary investigations state a longstanding dispute between the victim and another group had resulted in the shooting.
The Police say a locally manufactured weapon had been used in the shooting.Â
With the suspects having been identified, the Ambalantota police have launched further investigations. (Islandnews)
