President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced that the public can expect significant news in the coming days regarding the Easter Sunday attacks that killed innocent civilians.
Addressing a public rally in Dambulla today (09), he stated that the era of using political power to facilitate murders is over.
Referring to past unresolved cases, he said, “No one has been held accountable for the murder of Thajudeen, there’s still no answer for Lasantha’s death, and the truth behind what happened to Eknaligoda remains unknown.”
“We are pursuing all these cases to bring justice for peaceful citizens and to create an environment where ordinary people can live safely again. Expect ‘good news’ regarding the Easter attacks in the next few days,” he remarked. (NewsWire)
