Sri Lanka won the three-match ODI series between Sri Lanka and New Zealand by 2-0.
The third and final one-day match of the tournament was held yesterday (19) at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. In yesterday’s match, Chamindu Wickramasinghe won ODI for the Sri Lankan team, Nuvanindu Fernando, Nishan Madushka and Mohammad Shiras also joined the team.
However, due to the heavy rain yesterday, it was not possible to hold the match completely.
New Zealand, who were launching the first innings of the match, scored 112 runs for the loss of one wicket in 21 overs, and the match was stopped due to rain, and the match did not start again.
Here, Will Young scored an unbeaten half-century (56 points) for New Zealand, and Henry Nicholls scored an unbeaten 46 runs. It is also special that the only wicket lost in the New Zealand innings was Mohammad Shiraz’s debut ODI wicket.

It is also special that Kusal Mendis, who performed brilliantly with the bat in the first two matches of the tournament, won the hero of the tournament award.
