Pakistan ‘A’ sealed a convincing win over Sri Lanka ‘A’ in the first One Day match between the sides played today (25th November) at Islamabad Club Grounds in Islamabad.
Having won the toss, Sri Lanka ‘A’ skipper Nuwanidu Fernando asked the hosts to bat first. The decision did not turn out to be a good one as Pakistan Shaheens put on a commanding total – 306/7 on the board in the allotted 50 overs.

The middle-order batter Haider Ali struck a brilliant century for the hosts while seamer Eshan Malinga stood out with the ball for the visitors with a 3-wicket haul.

In reply, Sri Lankan batters failed to make an impression as they were bundled out for just 198 runs. Chamindu Wickramasinghe top scored for the visitors with a knock of 47 off 38 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 123.68.
