The Low-Pressure area, which persists over the Southeast Bay of Bengal, is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and reach the Southwest Bay of Bengal off the Sri Lanka – Tamil Nadu coasts tomorrow.
As such, showers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central and Eastern provinces today.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere during the evening or night, while fairly heavy showers of about 75mm are likely at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.Â
Misty conditions can be expected in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva, Western and Northwestern provinces during the morning.Â
