The Police have shot at a vehicle that had attempted to run over a woman who was travelling to the Kaduwela Police Station to file a complaint early this morning.
The woman had informed the Kaduwela Police of a car following her intending to cause an accident to murder her.
Officers at the Kaduwela Police Station had acted on the information and had attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle had tried to run over the Police officers and fled the area.
At the time, a Police officer had opened fire at the vehicle, but it had fled the area.
The 38-year-old female motorcyclist has been admitted to the hospital under Police protection.
Several Police teams have been deployed to seize the vehicle and apprehend the suspects involved in the incident. (Islandnews)
