An unverified video allegedly featuring controversial Jaffna district MP Archchuna Ramanathan has surfaced, where the MP appears to demand hospital authorities to address him as ‘Sir’.
In the video, a man can be heard addressing the Hospital Director and threatening him to leave the country.
“Now at this point you are supposed to call me Sir. I’m a member of Parliament.”
“You should know who I am now. Whether you like it or not Dr. Sathiyamoorthy, now this is going to be a big trouble. You better run to some other country, because there are so many complaints regarding you,”
“The administration is under me whether you like it or not,” the man is heard warning the Hospital Director.
Yesterday, a complaint was lodged against MP Ramanathan, alleging that he behaved disruptively at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.
The complaint, lodged by Hospital Director Dr. T. Sathiyamoorthy alleged that the MP’s conduct interfered with the duties of the medical staff.
According to the Police, the hospital’s management reported the incident to the Jaffna Police. (NewsWire)
