Air quality in several areas of Sri Lanka has been reported between unhealthy and moderate as of 09.00 am today, according to the Central Environmental Authority (CEA).
The CEA states that the air quality index in Dambulla, Jaffna, and Mullaitivu has dropped to unhealthy levels.
Air quality in Kurunegala, Colombo, Vavuniya, and Batticaloa has also dropped to moderate levels.
However, the air quality in Nuwara Eliya and Hambantota has returned to normal, the CEA added.
Due to the drop in air quality in some areas, the CEA has advised individuals with health concerns, particularly those sensitive to air pollution, to seek medical attention if they experience breathing difficulties. (Islandnews)
