Lahiru Kumara returns as Sri Lanka lock in squad for New Zealand ODIs

Sri Lanka national selectors have announced a 17-member squad to take part in the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand.

Sri Lanka have made three changes to the squad that featured in the ODI series against New Zealand at home last month.

The wicket-keeper batters Kusal Perera, Sadeera Samarawickrama and left-arm seamer Dilshan Madushanka have been left out of the squad. Making way are the top-order batter Nuwanidu Fernando, speedsters Lahiru Kumara and Eshan Malinga.

The ODI series will be played on the 5th, 8th, and 11th of January 2025. The three games will be played respectively in Wellington, Hamilton, and Auckland.

The first match will start at 03:30 am (IST), and the rest of the matches will start at 06:30 am (IST).
