Netflix is currently streaming the thriller Black Warrant, which stars Zahan Kapoor, the grandson of the renowned Shashi Kapoor. The show features a star-studded cast including Rahul Bhat, Anurag Singh, Paramvir Singh Cheema, and Sidhant Gupta, who play essential roles. The show was created and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and is based on the same-titled book. Kareena Kapoor Khan took a moment to express her excitement for her cousin brother’s new series ahead of its release.
Kareena posted the Black Warrant trailer to her stories on Instagram, writing, “This is looking incredible, my brother. Can’t wait to watch it.”
The show, set in the 1980s, centers on the lives of a new jailer named Sunil Gupta (Zahan). It stands out for its unique blend of fiction and real-life incidents, which depict the challenges faced by well-known prisoners and Sunil’s experiences amidst the harsh conditions in Tihar Jail. The series also shows Sunil’s interactions with some of India’s most well-known criminals, including a character who resembles Charles Sobhraj. Black Warrant explores topics including morality, human resiliency, and power dynamics.
Kareena last appeared in the action-thriller Singham Again. Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Jackie Shroff played essential roles in the Rohit Shetty-directed movie, which became an enormous hit and is now available on Prime Video.
