Three suspects arrested in connection with a homicide
Three suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with a homicide.
The suspects were apprehended yesterday (08) by officers from the Welikada Police Station in the Rajagiriya area.
According to the police, the arrested individuals are residents of Agarapatana, Namunukula, and Pannilathenna, aged 22, 24, and 30, respectively.
On January 6, an unidentified individual collapsed inside a shop in Rajagiriya. He was later admitted to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A post-mortem examination was conducted by the Judicial Medical Officer at the Colombo National Hospital.
The report revealed that the deceased had suffered an internal brain hemorrhage and multiple bruises on his body, leading investigators to conclude that the death was a homicide.
Following further investigations, officers arrested three employees of the shop where the incident took place on suspicion of committing the murder.
