The Colombo High Court has served indictments on Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa over the alleged misappropriation of Rs. 70 million related to the controversial Krrish tower project.
The indictment papers filed by the Attorney General were handed over today before Colombo High Court Judge Manjula Thilakaratne.
Following this, the Colombo High Court ordered MP Namal Rajapaksa to be released on bail.Â
MP Namal Rajapaksa is accused of misappropriating Rs. 70 million from the Indian-based Krrish Company for the development of Rugby in Sri Lanka.Â
The Colombo High Court has fixed the pre-trial of the case on 27 March 2025. (Islandnews)
