A 30-year-old Indian national has been arrested at the Katunayake Airport for illegally smuggling 1.330 kilos of Kush cannabis into Sri Lanka.
According to the Police, the man, arriving from Thailand, had concealed the narcotics inside four teddy bears.
He had been detected by anti-narcotics and immigration officials at the arrival terminal yesterday with the assistance of Police dog Sarah.
The Police anti-narcotics unit is conducting further investigations. (Islandnews)
