Overall Rate of Inflation dips further in February 2025

The Overall Rate of Inflation as measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) on a year-on-year basis, decreased to -4.2% in February 2025.

According to the Department of Census and Statistics, it is a decrease from the -4.0% recorded in January 2025.

Food inflation, however, increased to -0.2% in February 2025 from the -2.6% reported last month.

Non-food inflation decreased to -6.1% in February 2025 from the -4.7% recorded in January this year.
