Lahiru Udara will lead the touring Sri Lanka ‘A’ side to Oman for the upcoming ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, commencing on the 18th of October.
Experienced Yashoda Lanka has received the nod from the selectors after his excellent run of form in the recently concluded NSL 50-over tournament. This call-up was a long time coming for the right-hander for his excellent performances in the domestic circuit.
Notably, Ramesh Mendis has been added to the squad after his demoralizing performance in the Test series against the Kiwis. This will be a great opportunity for the off-spinner to regain his confidence, which will be very valuable for Sri Lanka cricket moving forward.
Sri Lanka will kick off their campaign against Afghanistan on the 18th of October at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1), Al Amerat.
