Sri Lanka recorded a rather comfortable win in their opening game against the Philippines in the 13th Asian Netball Championship 2024 in India.
The Sri Lankan girls dominated the first quarter with a 24-8 lead and extended their advantage by the end of the first half, finishing at 43-17.
In the third quarter, the Philippines mounted a comeback by scoring 17 points, while Sri Lanka managed only 13. Despite these signs of a comeback, the Sri Lankan girls extended their lead in the fourth quarter, scoring 17 points in response to the Philippines’ 10, sealing their control of the game.
At full-time, Sri Lanka sealed a dominant victory with a final score of 73-44 over the Philippines
