Abdulla Almutairi has been officially appointed as the coach of the Sri Lanka football team.
Abdullah, who previously worked as the coach of the Nepal team, was later named as the temporary coach for Sri Lanka.
His temporary position was established for the recently concluded football tournament with Cambodia, in which Sri Lanka managed to record a great victory against Cambodia.
Also, Nepal managed to reach the finals of the 2021 SAFF tournament, and Almutairi was the coach of Nepal in that historic journey.
