Sri Lanka Women’s U19 secured a 65-run win over Bangladesh Women’s U19 in the second T20 played today (6th January) at Thurstan College Grounds, Colombo, and took a 2-0 lead in the 4-match series.
After opting to bat first, Sri Lanka were reduced to 2/2 as both openers were dismissed by Nishita Akter Nishi. Dahami Senethma and skipper Manudi Nanayakkara revived the innings with a crucial 59-run stand.

Nanayakkara led from the front, scoring a valuable half-century that included 5 fours and a six. Dahami Senethma contributed 25 runs, while Rashmika Sewwandi’s unbeaten 27 helped the hosts reach 125 for 4 in their 20 overs.
Sri Lankan bowlers proved too good for Bangladesh, as none of the visitors’ top six batters managed to reach double figures, leaving them reeling at 35/6. Sadia Akter and Farjana Easmin added 22 runs, with the former top-scoring with 18. The visitors were eventually bowled out for 60 inside 13 overs.
Chamodi Prabodha dismantled the top order, picking up 3 for 13 in her 4 overs. In addition, Aseni Thalagune bagged three scalps, while Limansa Thilakarathne claimed two wickets.
