One match of the under-19 school cricket tournament organized by the Sri Lanka School Cricket Association and the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute ended yesterday (13).
It is special that Mahanama College won by 10 wickets in this match held between St. Benedict’s College Colombo and Mahanama College Colombo.
In this match, Mahanama skipper Anuka Wijewardena, who took the lead to restrict Benedict to 131 runs in the first innings, managed to take 7 wickets, and in the second innings, he managed to take 4 more wickets.
Chamika Hinatigala Benedict, who managed to show second-to-none performance for Mahanama Vidyalaya, managed to take 3 wickets in the first innings and 4 wickets in the second innings, and Mahanama continued to score 65 runs as the top scorer in the first innings.
Meanwhile, Mevan Dissanayake managed to take 4 wickets for Benedict College.
