D.S. Senanayake College Colombo and Devapathiraja College Ratgama declared joint champion of the Under 13 division 1 inter schools cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket on Sunday. The final match was drawn between D.S. Senanayake College Colombo, joint champion in last season and Devapathiraja College Rathgama played at St. John’s College ground Panadura on Sunday.
D.S. Senanayake College Colombo won the toss and elected to field first. Devapathiraja College Ratgama scored 202 runs for 7 wickets in 45.4 overs. Denuwan Yositha (54), Diyath Sanjitha (40), Adheesha Gautham (39) and Pinindu Nethsara (16) helped to build their innings. Shakya Weerasekara, Janul Jayathilake, Lasen De Silva, Ranithu Kumarasinghe, Haamid Afdhal and Lakindu De Silva claimed one wicket each.
D.S. Senanayake College Colombo scored 42 runs for no loss in 4.4 overs at close due to bad light. Haamid Afdhal (19*) and Miyuru Bandara (11*) helped to build their inning.
