Narcotics Control Unit Officers at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) arrested a woman in possession with a concealed stash of cocaine in her luggage yesterday (29).
The seized narcotics weighed around 4,068 grams and have an estimated street value of Rs.142 million. The suspect, a 41-year-old woman holding a South African passport, arrived from Ghana on Qatar Airways flight bearing number QR 658.
Sri Lanka Customs’ Narcotics Control Unit has sought assistance from the Police Narcotics Bureau and further investigations are currently underway.
