The answer script evaluation of the Grade 5 scholarship examination 2024 began last Wednesday (8) after taking a firm decision on the issue of examination paper leak.
The Examinations Department confirmed that the evaluation of Grade Five Scholarship Examination began on Wednesday. The evaluation process will continue till January 12 and the results will be released within 40 days.
There was a controversy over the claim that three questions in the first question paper of the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination held on September 15, 2024, had been leaked before the examination. A group of parents filed Fundamental Rights Petitions before the Supreme Court and the decisions in those cases were announced on December 31.
The Supreme Court ordered the Commissioner General of Examinations to select the most appropriate recommendation out of the three recommendations of giving free marks to three questions in the first question paper of the Scholarship Examination, cutting all three questions and re-conducting the entire examination and implement it immediately.
