Former Minister Wijith Wijayamuni Zoysa who was arrested by the Walana Anti-Corruption Unit for allegedly possessing an illegally assembled truck, has been granted bail.
The Bandarawela Magistrate’s Court today released former minister Wijith Wijayamuni Zoysa on a surety of Rs. 200,000.
Former minister Wijith Wijayamuni Zoysa was arrested yesterday for the alleged possession of an illegally assembled truck.
He was arrested following an investigation led by the anti-corruption authorities, who discovered that the truck in question had been assembled in violation of legal standards. (Islandnews)
