The name of Sri Lankan cricketer Kamindu Mendis has been recommended for the ICC Emerging Player of the Year award.
The names of four players, including Kamindu, have been proposed for this award, which is given to new players who have shown outstanding performance in entering the international cricket field in the year 2024.
Kamindu has played 32 matches for Sri Lanka so far in 2024, where he has managed to score 1451 runs with a batting average of 50.03.
Here, Kamindu managed to show the most outstanding performance in Test matches, and he has managed to score 1049 runs in 9 Test matches during this period, keeping his batting average at a high value of 74.92.
