Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) Sports Club excelled at the Malay CC open Netball Tournament to clinch the championship at the Malay Grounds in Colombo recently.
KDU Sports Club defeated Coach ‘H’ Team 3 in the final encounter to win the title.
Anuththara Kaluarachchi of the KDU Sports Club was awarded the Netball Queen of the Tournament while Dinsara Umayanga and Thamadhi Elpitiya of KDU SC won the Best Shooter and Best Centre Court Player awards. U. D. Hashmila (Coach ‘H’ Team) was awarded the Best Defensive Player award.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, KDU Sports Club beat Campbell Park SC, and Coach ‘H’ Team beat Speed Birds SC .
Meanwhile, Campbell Park SC secured the third place in the tournament.
