The 3rd edition of the People’s Pinnacle Sri Lanka Awards 2024, organized by MUGP International to recognize Sri Lanka’s top professionals, was held this evening (06) at the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo.
Lake House achieved a historic milestone by securing two prestigious awards. Thinakaran, the Tamil newspaper, was honored as Sri Lanka’s Best Tamil Newspaper of 2024, with the award accepted by its Associated -Editor Marlin Marikkar.
Additionally, Silumina’s Editor, Tharaka Wickramasekara, was recognized as Sri Lanka’s Best News Editor of 2024, with the award presented by renowned literary figure Ratna Sri Wijesinghe.
This marks the first time Lake House publications have won such prestigious accolades at the People’s Pinnacle Sri Lanka Awards.
The ceremony also featured lifetime achievement awards presented to Rathna Sri Wijesinghe, veteran journalist Narada Nissanka, and Siri Kahawala for their exceptional contributions to their respective fields.
