The Department of Meteorology predicts a few showers in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, and Uva provinces today. Additionally, showers or thundershowers may occur in Southern and Sabaragamuwa provinces during the afternoon or night.
Mainly fair weather conditions are expected in other parts of the country.
Misty conditions are likely in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Kurunegala district, during the morning hours.
The public is urged to take necessary precautions against potential damages caused by localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
