The Administrative Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), Renuka Perera who was arrested for allegedly spreading false information regarding the recent Maaveerar Naal commemorations has been released on bail.
The Colombo Magistrate’s Court granted bail to Renuka Perera after he was produced in court today.
Renuka Perera was arrested by officials from the Criminal Investigations Department for allegedly spreading false information regarding the recent Maaveerar Naal commemorations in the North, via social media.
The SLPP Administrative Secretary was arrested from his residence in Kotikawatta today (05 Dec). (Islandnews)
