The Manchester Soccer Academy (MSA) has announced the inaugural FFSL President’s Youth Cup 2025a landmark tournament organized in collaboration with the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL). This event will feature eight leading soccer academies from across the country, offering young players a platform to showcase their talent and compete at a high level.
Scheduled to run from 13th January to 23rd February 2025, the matches will take place at the Racecourse Ground and Beddagana Football Complex. Teams such as Manchester SA, Colombo FC, Sounders, Java Lane, Barcelona, ​​and Colombo Youth will participate in this exciting competition.
MSA Head George Augustine expressed pride in partnering with FFSL to nurture young talent and create opportunities for skill development and camaraderie among players. FFSL President Jaswar Umar highlighted the federation’s dedication to soccer development, emphasizing the importance of such tournaments in fostering teamwork, character, and exposure for budding players.
The FFSL President’s Youth Cup 2025 is set to play a vital role in Sri Lanka’s revitalized football scene, following the lifting of FIFA’s ban on international competition.
