The National Library and Documentation Services Board has decided to extend the period for accepting manuscripts for the ongoing book publication assistant project until December 31, the National Library and Documentation Services Board said.
The period for accepting manuscripts has been extended due to the continuous requests received from writers. The publication assistant project, which is being implemented in a new form, is expected to provide support for academics, research, novels, short stories, poetry, youth literature, and children’s works, and the amount of support has also been increased. The National Library and Documentation Services Board further announced that it will provide Rs. 150,000 for the best academic and research works, Rs. 100,000 for novels, Rs. 100,000 for short stories, and Rs. 75,000 for poetry, youth literature and children’s works as publication assistance, and that all of these works are expected to be released for the Literature Month of 2025.
