Yesterday (28), the Sri Lankan team managed to win the one-day series between the Bangladesh Under-17 team and the Sri Lankan Under-17 team by 1-0.
Both the first and second one-day matches of the series had to be abandoned due to rain, thus the third match became the decider of the series.
The Bangladesh captain, who won the toss in this match, chose to bat first on the Galle pitch, but Sri Lanka did not allow them to launch their innings for long.
Sri Lanka managed to restrict the Bangladesh innings to 77 runs in 17 overs, in which Ryan Gregory and Rashit Nimsara managed to take 3 wickets each.
Sri Lanka managed to chase down the easy target from Bangladesh in 4 balls of 16 overs, for which Senuja Vakunugoda contributed with 30 runs and Rehan Peiris with 29 runs.
