The Overall Rate of Inflation, as measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) year-on-year, has increased to -2.6% in March 2025.
According to the Department of Census and Statistics, this is an increase from the -4.2% reported in February 2025.
Food inflation has also increased to 0.6% in March 2025, from the -0.2% recorded in February.
Non-food inflation has also increased to -4.1% in marchcompared to -6.1% reported in February.Â
