Sri Lanka police have issued a announcement regarding the restriction of vehicular movement in the stretch of road between the 143rd and 144th kilometer posts on the Badulla-Bibile Road in the Passara police division.
The road will remain open for traffic from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. today (25), and will be closed from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. tomorrow (26).
Traffic restrictions were initially imposed on November 18, 2024, following an earthslip in the area.
The site was inspected by the Executive Engineer of the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) and the Road Development Authority (RDA) yesterday (24).
Police further stated that the opening hours of the road may vary depending on weather conditions. Officers from the Passara Police Station have been deployed to manage security and traffic at the site.
