The teacher who was responsible for leaking the Grade 06 and 07 third-term examination papers of government schools in the North Central Province has been suspended.
The North Central Province Education Secretary Sirimevan Dharmasena said the teacher was interdicted with immediate effect for leaking the exam papers on social media before the exam.
It is reported that the Geology paper of Grades 06 and 07 had been leaked prior to the examination.Â
This is the latest examination paper to be leaked in the North Central Province within the last few days.
Initially, the Grade 11 Sinhala Literature third-term examination paper of government schools in the North Central Province was leaked on social media before the exam scheduled for 06 January.
Thereafter, it was reported that the Grade 11 Science and English language third-term examination papers of government schools in the North Central Province had also been leaked prior to the exams scheduled for 07 and 08 January, respectively.Â
Following the leaking of examination papers, authorities took measures to suspend the said examinations and postpone them until further notice. (Islandnews)
