The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has informed that Bangladesh T20I team captain Najmul Hossain Shanto has been removed from the said post.

Najmul Hossain Shanto’s resignation has also taken place even as the reports said that after the completion of the series with the South African team, Najmul Hossain Shanto has indicated his unwillingness to be the captain of the T20I team.
However, it has been mentioned that Najmul will continue to lead the Bangladesh team in ODI and Test matches.
Although the Bangladesh cricket team has not yet announced a new T20I captain, Liton Das will be newly appointed for the specific post, according to reports.
It is noteworthy that the Bangladesh side led by Liton Das recently won the T20I series against the West Indies by 3-0 at their home soil.
