Several spells of rain are forecasted for the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, and Uva provinces, as well as the Matale district, according to the Department of Meteorology.
The North-Western province may experience isolated showers, while Sabaragamuwa province, along with Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya districts, could witness showers or thundershowers in the afternoon or night.
Misty conditions are expected during the morning in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Kurunegala district.
The public is urged to take necessary precautions to mitigate the effects of localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
