The Meteorology Department has issued a weather update today (06), forecasting that showers may occur at a few places in Eastern province and in Mullaittivu district.
Showers or thundershowers are also expected in several places in the Sabaragamuwa Province, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya districts during the afternoon or night.
Misty conditions are likely in some areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Uva provinces in the morning.
The public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize potential damage from temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
