It’s been a few years since the exciting announcement that Shraddha Kapoor would be taking on the lead role in the Nagin trilogy, a story about a shape-shifting nagin. Now, as the film’s shooting is about to begin, the focus is once again on Shraddha Kapoor. Producer Nikhil Dwivedi, on the special occasion of Makar Sankranti 2025, has shared a major update, giving us a sneak peek at the script.
Nikhil Dwivedi posted a picture of a script on his Instagram Stories today, January 14, 2025. It said, “Nagin: An Epic Tale of Love & Sacrifice.” Additionally, the script stated, “Created & Developed by SAFFRON Magicworks.” Marigold flowers surrounded the script.
Nikhil wrote a caption for the photo, “Makar Sankranti & Finally…”
Shraddha Kapoor expressed her thoughts about playing Nagin on X (previously Twitter) in 2020. She penned, “It’s an absolute delight for me to play a Naagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring, and idolising Sridevi ma’am’s Nagina and Nigahen and have always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore.”
The last time we saw Shraddha Kapoor was in the hugely successful horror comedy Stree 2, a film that she brought to life with her talent and dedication, making her fans and the audience at large proud.
