SLFP Acting General Secretary, former Minister Duminda Dissanayake said that Faiszer Musthapha was nominated with the endorsement and knowledge of all parties in the alliance. This endorsement was made as per the agreement within the NDF before the previous General Election and now that agreement has been implemented.
Former SLFP Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna said PC Faiszer Musthapha is the Senior Vice President of the SLFP.
His name was submitted to the National List very early in the election process. So, there is no conspiracy there. Former UNP MP Saman Rathnapriya said that three out of four main parties in the NDF that signed MoU before the election have now approved this appointment. So, this appointment has been approved,” he added.
