Speaker (Dr.) Jagath Wickramaratne undertook a series of visits to receive blessings from religious leaders of various faiths.
On January 4th, he visited the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy, where he paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic. Diyawadana Nilame Nilanga Dela Bandara was present during the visit. He then visited the Malwathu Maha Viharaya to meet the Most Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddartha Sumangala Mahanayake Thera, the Chief Prelate of the Malwathu Chapter, and later received blessings at the Sri Selva Vinayagar Temple.
The following day (5th), the Speaker visited the Dewatagaha Mosque in Colombo, where he met with religious leaders.
He concluded his visits by meeting Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith at the Archbishop’s House in Colombo to receive his blessings.
