Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa has expressed regret over the government’s decision to make changes to the leadership and board of the 1990 Suwa Seriya Foundation, expressing regret over the dismissal of the team behind the ambulance service.
Taking to ‘X’, MP Premadasa said that the dedicated team behind the 1990 Suwa Seriya ambulance service was one that had excelled during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.
He pointed out that such high-performing teams are rare and should be rewarded, not disregarded due to political shifts.
“I urge the government to foster a culture that values and retains talent committed to public service excellence,” he added.
MP Sajith Premadasa’s comments come after President Anura Kumara Dissanayake appointed a new chairman and two new board members to the 1990 Suwa Seriya Foundation this week. (Islandnews)
