Three patients of the Neduntivu Hospital on Delft Island who required further treatment have been airlifted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital, following the adverse weather conditions affecting Jaffna.
Normal transportation between Jaffna and Delft Island has been suspended due to extensive flooding in the area.
Accordingly, Sri Lanka Air Force transported the patients from Neduntivu to the Palaly Airport by air and then transferred to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital for further treatment. (Islandnews)
