Two individuals were killed in a shooting incident on Watarappala Road, Mount Lavinia, according to police.
A 36-year-old man was shot dead on the spot, while a 20-year-old youth sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the Kalubowila hospital. However, the youth later succumbed to his injuries.
Both victims have been identified as residents of Watarappala Road.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing as Mount Lavinia Police work to apprehend the suspects involved.
