The United States Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung, met with the General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), Tilvin Silva, this morning (22) at the party’s headquarters. The discussions focused on the prevailing socio-political situation in the country and the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative, with an emphasis on potential support from the United States.
Yesterday (21), British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Andrew Patrick, also met with JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva at the JVP headquarters. The talks primarily addressed the current socio-political challenges facing the country.
